Sacha's Park Donation

Jacqueline Standing gave us an update on Sacha's park dedicated to her son's memory. Phase 1 is now complete after raising nearly $400 000 which included nearly $50 000 of in-kind donations from local contractors and suppliers. She thanked Martel insurance for sponsoring the Aviva community campaign which raised $100 000. The $5 000 donation from Rotary will cover the cost of the 2-seater expression swing (see below). Phase 2 which includes a splash pad will come when the necessary funds have been raised. The official opening will be on June 9, 2017.
